They assist the body in fighting unfriendly microorganisms; cleansing organs, glands and body systems. They can balance body functions and raise the body’s energetic vibration. THIS is exactly what we need in times of a virus, in order to support ourselves from the inside and outside.

Regardless of method, most mindfulness practices have a positive effect on our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. Think about meditation, breathing exercises and yoga and better and more sleep. Whatever you choose, choose what resonates the most with you and then practice it consistently to enhance the benefits of all other practices, such as essential oils.

COLD SHOWER

You may have heard about the Wim Hof method. Cold showers help reduce stress levels. Regularly taking cold showers imposes a small amount of stress on your body, which leads to a process called ‘hardening’. This means that your nervous system gradually gets used to handling moderate levels of stress. The hardening process helps you to stay calmer and resilient when stress hits you. And the virus is definitely stress right now.

More robust immune response. Scientific studies have found that taking a cold shower increases the amount of white blood cells in your body. These blood cells protect your body against illnesses and diseases. It is believed that this process is related to an increased metabolic rate, which stimulates the immune response.

DRINK WATER

In general it is recommended to drink sufficient water every day, to support your metabolism but also to flush out anything that your body doesn’t need anymore. Now, with any virus, it is even more important to drink sufficiently and regularly every 15-20 minutes to flush the virus out of your body into the gastric tract where the gastric acid juices will destroy the virus. And of course it is beneficial to understand our emotions by diving in deeper here, too. In order to understand these, we have to be able to label them as well. There are so many emotional reactions that we show daily, yet I often see in my coaching calls with my clients that they are struggling to label their emotions. As a consequence it is difficult to understand where and how and when to address the emotional challenge. How can you solve something if you haven’t truly understood what is causing it?

You don’t have 20 sec? Think again.

I got a lot of enquiries lately on the ESSENTIAL OILS I’m using on a daily basis. I can just say that I love them & that they support me not only physically, but also mentally and emotionally.

Using dōTERRA essential oils has also taught me to connect even deeper with what’s going on inside me, because in order to use the ‘right’ oil, I need to check-in with myself first, to understand my needs and desires. .
To keep the information as simple as possible, I wanted to start by sharing with you my OIL ROUTINE.

1️⃣ I get up, go to the kitchen, put one drop of peppermint oil into the palm of my hands. Rub hands together, hold them in front of nose and inhale deeply for three times.
RESULT: Immediate energizer to wake me up. It’s also great when you feel tired in the afternoon.

2️⃣ One drop of Copaiba under my tongue supports a healthy immune and cardiovascular system.
RESULT: Soothes anxious feelings, also and especially preventatively.

3️⃣ After my shower, I put 2 drops of Balance oil on the soles of my feet. It has like the name suggests balancing properties.
RESULT: A rooting and grounding feeling.

4️⃣ Over the course of the day, I put 2 drops of Lemon oil, Grapefruit oil or Basil oil in 1litre of water. Lemon is cleansing and refreshing, Grapefruit supports a healthy metabolism and Basil is really good in states of exhaustion, overwhelm and fatigue. I also love Spearmint, it is the oil for speakers, for people who speak a lot, like I do in my coaching sessions and yoga lessons.

5️⃣ When I work at home, which I often do, I switch on my diffuser with an oil combination suitable to my needs, for example, energy, focus, calming, etc. Just go with the flow.

6️⃣ Towards the afternoon, I inhale Peppermint again and use additional oils as per my desired results.

7️⃣ In the evenings, I diffuse Lavender. I also apply Lavender onto my wrists and behind my ears before bed to aid a restful sleep.
RESULT: Calming and peaceful.

8️⃣ At last, I put one drop of Frankincense oil under my tongue to support my entire body and mind system. It is also the oil to support cell regeneration, and works well against wrinkles when applied to skin directly. RESULT: Less wrinkles, better skin.

How meditation improved my relationships & more.

In all friendships, in all relationships I have, (check previous posts @designyourlifeforresults to learn more) I have understood that these only exist, because there is a true, genuine and deep connection I have with the people I surround myself with.

This deep connection exists, because I have connected deeply with myself. Over the last 5 years and continuously every single day. One of my favourite tools? Meditation. Everyday, everywhere.
.
If you are brave enough to do so, i.e. to look deeper into who you are, what you desire and where you are heading, it makes building & maintaining connections so much easier, worthwhile, fun and loving.
.
I honestly cannot be bothered anymore to entertain superficial connections and relationships. It is my lifetime, so now I only surround myself with positive, loving and growing people that have a vision and mission to rise up to.
.
This is certainly only ONE RESULT I got out from my daily meditation practice.

Design your life for results

This article is inspired by my interview in Business Booster Today where I explain how my story supports you to finally break free and design your life for results.

Reflection: I am using these last days of the year to really reflect my year 2018. I am asking myself the following questions: What went really well? What could I have done better? Is there anything or anyone that I need to forgive? What were my success stories in 2018? Where did I grow? What didn’t go as planned?

Now it is your turn! Sit down now with a nice pen and notebook and write this down for yourself. Take your time, make yourself comfortable and reflect. Go through every month January 2018 to December 2018 and reflect the good and the not so good things in all areas of your life.

Reason: Reflection and bringing unconscious things to your consciousness is key for your change. If you truly want to design your life the way you want to live it, then this is the way in. You gotta reflect in order to become aware, in order to become more and more the person you are meant to be.

Result: Charged awareness. A lighter feeling as you release ballast you no longer need. Take control of your life, instead of just reacting. Design your life proactively – it is yours!

Visualisation: I also make time to set my goals for 2019 and to visualise these goals. What do I want to achieve in each area of my life, e.g. health & fitness, my job, relationship etc.? What person do I want to become? Which quality of life do I want to have? How do I want to design my 2019? Is there anything that is keeping me from doing so? If so, why and what is my fear around this? Is it really keeping me from doing so or am I just looking for excuses? Once I have set my goals, I sit down on my meditation cushion and I visualise these goals. If you can imagine it, you can have it. You want to be in a relationship? Visualise it in detail. Where are you with your partner? How do you behave around each other? Do you want to have this specific job/flat etc.?

Now it is your turn! Sit down and write everything down unfiltered, let your ideas and visions flow. Then visualise your goals in detail. Do one after the other. Take your time.

Reason: Setting goals and the matching visualisation make things that feel far away and hence unreal real. They become more tangible and less abstract. Visualising makes you smile, because it provides you with a good feeling, that trust that you can achieve the things you are visualising. Hold this space for yourself and you’ll see.

Result: Charged awareness of your dreams that become goals through this process and eventually your reality. By writing down your goals and visualising them you’ll give a signal to the universe that you are ready to go for it. That you are ready to design your life for the results that you want to see in your life.

Let me ask you: Are you ready to charge your awareness? Are you ready to become more of who you want to be? Are you ready to take control of your life? Are you ready to break free from any compulsions that are still holding you back? Are you ready to design your life? Ready to see the amazing results that come with it?

Boom. Let’s go together, because together we can fly.

In the week of 5th November I attended JT Foxx’s Mega Success event in Anaheim, Los Angeles with 2,500 people from all around the world, eager to learn, keen to grow, ready to design their life for the results they want to see. Because let me remind you, the life that you live, it’s your life and everything you do or you don’t it’s your decision. And as I’m learning and learning, growing every day, I have understood, deciding eliminates fear.

When we decide, we can move forward; when we don’t decide, we get stuck, we overthink, we might fear the next step because of our overactive mind. Then we often get frustrated over various things, having overthought a situation, having been too fearful of the next step, yet then we regret not to have done something. We always regret the things we haven’t done, so think twice next time.

  • Do you say yes or no to an opportunity?
  • Do you decide or let fear win?

Deciding eliminates fear.

I keep taking action, I keep making decisions every single day and you should, too. I don’t talk about all the tiny decisions we have to take every day, no I mean the decisions that could be life-changing for you, the decisions that can get you started on living the life you truly want, the decision FOR YOU.

Decide for you.

It is so worth it, trust me. After all, my actions and my decisions led me to the absolutely amazing opportunity to meet Brooke Shields (actress, model, entrepreneur) in Los Angeles. Not only did I meet her, but also I was up on stage in front of 2,500 successful, international entrepreneurs to have a fantastic conversation with her about success when it comes to health and wellbeing.

After my interview with this beautiful woman inside out, I recorded a video for you because I wanted you to feel the energy that I got from that interview, from that moment up on stage, a pure state of happiness. When I was a child, I always wanted to become an actress, moderator, travel reporter or a dancer; all things active and agile, travelling, exploring. I knew I wanted to be free like a bird, I also already knew I wanted to do my own thing, but most importantly I wanted to be happy. What I find most interesting is that all of my childhood dreams have one thing in common and that is serving and helping others.

The beautiful thing is – although I might not be an actress or reporter – this is exactly what I do as Life & Business Strategist. I have worked on myself to become a better, mentally healthier and consequently happier person. And now I get to help people connecting with themselves, revealing their true self and designing the life that they truly want to live. And this makes me happy from within and I know it will make you happy, too, when you are ready to take action and walk that path of happiness.

Arise to success

When you follow me on social media, you’ll know that I spent almost two weeks in the USA. I traveled there for the business event of the year, Mega Success by JT Foxx. Afterwards I traveled to Chicago to explore a new city, and I loved it. Hence I do apologise for the missing blog post last Friday, however I hope you were catching up with me on Facebook and Instagram.

As a wise person said to me more than once ‘There’s room at the top. It’s the bottom that is crowded.’ (JT Foxx)

On that note let me encourage you to arise to your success. I have learned over the past years that my definition of success has changed. This is only natural, since we all grow and change every day, some faster, some slower. What I have also learned is:

Success is an inside job.

Success arises from within plus by you taking the necessary steps continuously. This is called self-responsibiity, no excuses, no reactions, only actions.  You can manifest your dreams the entire day, however if you don’t take action towards your dreams, they will be gone in no time.

Manifestation + Action = Success

You have the power to design your life for the results you want to see.

  • Want to feel your body? You can have it.
  • Want to train your mind to be positive? You can have it.
  • Want to feel holistically aligned? You can have it.

Design your life for the results that you want to see. What does success mean to you?

I have noticed over the past years that my definition of success has changed. That authenticity, honesty and loyalty are the most important values for me in my life when it comes to success. Having that in mind, I can do everything I set my mind to, because deep down I am myself, I am my authentic me. Success also means to me that I am becoming a better version of myself every single day. By meditating, by reading a book, by listening to audios and podcasts, but most importantly by actively listening to my inner voice and permitting me to let this voice speak to myself and others.

Because what happens if I don’t voice my voice? Well, energies might get stuck in my body or I feel like I’m not expressing myself, my feelings and what I have to say. However, expressing myself and speaking my truth is a really important life factor to succeed and be happy all around.

Let me again encourage you to speak your truth, to express your feelings and to be truly who you are meant to be. Then you can arise to success and you’ll be ready for it. I know it.

After this huge success I was asking myself “What did it take me to succeed with my eBook?” but also broadly speaking “What does it take for one to succeed?” I reflected, so that I can pass on my experience and learnings to you. I came up with the following drivers of success. It is not the full alphabet, yet I have many letters serving your success.

  • A as Ambition to succeed.
  • B as Belief. The most important thing is to believe in yourself, to truly believe that you can do this. Because you can.
  • C as Courage to do whatever it takes. C as Coach to hold you accountable.
  • D as Discipline. No success without discipline. Discipline is also about your work ethics. It is about consistency, it is about showing up, even if you don’t want to.
  • E as Energy. Bring your body and mind into a state of energy. Move your body, understand your mind and heal your soul to have the energy to succeed.
  • F as Flow. Once you are in the flow, keep going & do not stop until you’ve achieved that result you are looking for.
  • I as Inspiration. Inspire yourself to inspire others.
  • L as Love. Fall in love with yourself first to love others. Give love. Love will come back to you.
  • P as Patience. This is probably my biggest challenge. However, I know that whenever I surpass that point of impatience that BOOM things are rolling. Or when I call up my coach expressing my impatience, because he is going to be the one to push me and make me go further, so I can last longer.
  • R as Results. What do you want to achieve? What result do you want to see? My eBook holds the subtitle ‘Design your life for results’ plus this is what I am doing. Designing my life for the results that I want to see, be it professionally or personally. Be it health or relationship related. Whatever it is, ask yourself, which results you want to achieve and make them measurable, whenever possible.
  • S as Silence. In everything that is going on in our lives, it is necessary to be silent once in a while. To pause. To breathe. To be still. In the silence you’ll find your energy.
  • T as Trust. Trust that things will be working out for you. Trust that the universe has your back and helps you accomplish your dreams. Trust in yourself, in your capabilities and that life is happening for you.
  • W as Will. Without the will to excel, you won’t. Without the will to stand out, you won’t. Without the will to succeed, you won’t.
