5 x Immune System Boosters

As worries grow about the new coronavirus, online searches for ways to boost the immune system have increased massively. Vitamins? Essential Oils? Yoga? Food?

The bottom line is that there is no magic pill or a specific food guaranteed to boost your immune system and protect you from a virus. But there are real ways you can take care of yourself (self-care) and support your immune system in the best possible way to do its natural job; it may just need a bit more help right now.

So, here are my 5 x TOP TIPS for you to bolster your immune system and help the complex network of cells, organs and tissues in your body to work together to protect you from infection, i.e. physically and mentally.

SPEAK A MANTRA

Talking to ourselves in a positive and encouraging way helps our stress levels to reduce and hence lower the risk of infection. Any stress weakens the immune system and increases your risk. So, speak the following daily, several times a day, for as long as you feel like you truly believe that you say:

I am healthy. I am safe. All is good.

USE ESSENTIAL OILS

Natural essential oils are powerful physical healers. Some essential oils are considered to be 40-60 times more potent than herbs. They assist the body in fighting unfriendly microorganisms; cleansing organs, glands and body systems. They can balance body functions and raise the body’s energetic vibration. THIS is exactly what we need in times of a virus, in order to support ourselves from the inside and outside.

Here are the Top 5 Essential Oils (dōTERRA only) I recommend you get into your household right now:

  • Oregano: This is a powerful oil that acts as a natural anti-biotic. Moreover, it clears negativity and negative attachments that leave us drained, reducing our natural immune response. Application: Mix with fractionated coconut oil (FCO) and apply onto the soles of your feet. Article Number: #60204665
  • On Guard: This is the Oil of Protection. It shields you from bacteria, viruses and mould. It is your anti-viral blend. Furthermore, it supports you in warding off energetic parasites and other negative influences. Application: Mix with fractionated coconut oil (FCO) and apply onto your throat and chest. Article Number: #60204659
  • Lemon: The Oil of Focus doesn’t only support you in engaging the mind in the ‘right things’ right now, it also assists you to cleanse your body. Since the essential oils from dōTERRA are the purest on the market, you can also use them internally, for example in your water. This way you flush out any toxins from your body. Application: Put 1-2 drops into 1 litre of still water and drink throughout the day to keep your throat hydrated. Article Number: #60204656
  • Air: This oil is the Respiratory Blend, the Oil of Breath. This oil invites you to breathe in (positivity) and breathe out (negativity) and embrace life with openness. It supports the respiratory system by opening up the lungs and air passages allowing air and emotion to release. Application: Mix with FCO and apply onto your chest, back of neck and also onto the soles of your feet. Extra tip: Also helps people who snore ;-). Article Number: #60203777
  • Melaleuca: This oil is anti-bacterial and a disinfectant by nature. It’s also knows as tea tree oil. It helps to release micro-organisms in the body, but as the Oil of Energetic Boundaries it also assists in clearing toxic, codependent and parasitic relationships. Application: Mix with FCO and apply behind your ears. For energetic protection, put 1-2 drops undiluted onto the top of your head, crown chakra. Article Number: #60204660
  • Fractionated Coconut Oil (FCO): Dilution with a carrier oil no only increases the area of direct application, but also helps to protect your skin from potential sensitivity. For adults, essential oils should be diluted at least 25%, i.e. 25 drops on one teaspoon of carrier oil. Fractionated means the oil stay liquid at all temperates. It is the perfect oil for basic dilution, like described above. Article Number: #60204881

MINDFULNESS PRACTICES

Regardless of method, most mindfulness practices have a positive effect on our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. Think about meditation, breathing exercises and yoga and better and more sleep. Whatever you choose, choose what resonates the most with you and then practice it consistently to enhance the benefits of all other practices, such as essential oils.

COLD SHOWER

You may have heard about the Wim Hof method. Cold showers help reduce stress levels. Regularly taking cold showers imposes a small amount of stress on your body, which leads to a process called ‘hardening’. This means that your nervous system gradually gets used to handling moderate levels of stress. The hardening process helps you to stay calmer and resilient when stress hits you. And the virus is definitely stress right now.

More robust immune response. Scientific studies have found that taking a cold shower increases the amount of white blood cells in your body. These blood cells protect your body against illnesses and diseases. It is believed that this process is related to an increased metabolic rate, which stimulates the immune response.

DRINK WATER

In general it is recommended to drink sufficient water every day, to support your metabolism but also to flush out anything that your body doesn’t need anymore. Now, with any virus, it is even more important to drink sufficiently and regularly every 15-20 minutes to flush the virus out of your body into the gastric tract where the gastric acid juices will destroy the virus. Add Lemon Essential Oil to your water to support the cleansing process.

Stay healthy. Take good care of yourself. I am here for you.

Love, yours Nina

Dive Deep – Get results!

Are YOU around Munich and ready to dive in deeper?

JOIN MY WORKSHOP – for women, in Munich, in German.

Transforming your life to the positive means that you consciously decide for change. Change doesn’t just happen. Once you have decided for change, you gotta take action and that you have to do consistently. Why? In order to see results that last.

Of course you can get quick results, but why invest time, money and energy into activities that don’t last? Don’t you want to get long-lasting results? Don’t you want that your decisions and actions pay off in all areas of your life?

Results that last

In order to get long-lasting results, I am a true ambassador of holistic change. We have to look not only into all areas of life, but also we need to understand that change happens holistically, mentally, physically and emotionally. This is exactly what I do in my work and passion as International Results Coach.

The approach

We have to feed our mind with positivity, positive thoughts, gratitude and the consistent desire to make our lives better, easier, lighter and happier, also healthier and more courageous.

We have to move our body in order to stay connected and not lose connection with the body we live in. Our body is our home, you can go anywhere in the world, but you will always take yourself with you, so you better ensure your home is healthy, happy, aligned, balanced, centred and full of energy. Watch this little video of me in Italy where I share with you a small and simple, yet soooooo effective yoga practice. Just get ready and do the movements.

And of course it is beneficial to understand our emotions by diving in deeper here, too. In order to understand these, we have to be able to label them as well. This means we should learn what the different emotions are that we are facing. Is it fear, love, sadness, anger, happiness…? There are so many emotional reactions that we show daily, yet I often see in my coaching calls with my clients that they are struggling to label their emotions. As a consequence it is difficult to understand where and how and when to address the emotional challenge. How can you solve something if you haven’t truly understood what is causing it?

For all of these aspects I have found solutions on how to dress body, mind and soul in a holistic way, to dive in deeper and to get you long-lasting results.

Are you a woman around Munich and keen to transform, ready to take action and design a healthier and happier life?

Then you have to sign up for my workshop “Dive Deep Experience”. Stop questioning, stop finding excuses, invest in yourself by saying yes and sign up now.

You don’t have 20 sec? Think again.

I got a lot of enquiries lately on the ESSENTIAL OILS I’m using on a daily basis. I can just say that I love them & that they support me not only physically, but also mentally and emotionally.
.
Using dōTERRA essential oils has also taught me to connect even deeper with what’s going on inside me, because in order to use the ‘right’ oil, I need to check-in with myself first, to understand my needs and desires. .
To keep the information as simple as possible, I wanted to start by sharing with you my OIL ROUTINE.

1️⃣ I get up, go to the kitchen, put one drop of peppermint oil into the palm of my hands. Rub hands together, hold them in front of nose and inhale deeply for three times.
RESULT: Immediate energizer to wake me up. It’s also great when you feel tired in the afternoon.

2️⃣ One drop of Copaiba under my tongue supports a healthy immune and cardiovascular system.
RESULT: Soothes anxious feelings, also and especially preventatively.

3️⃣ After my shower, I put 2 drops of Balance oil on the soles of my feet. It has like the name suggests balancing properties.
RESULT: A rooting and grounding feeling.

4️⃣ Over the course of the day, I put 2 drops of Lemon oil, Grapefruit oil or Basil oil in 1litre of water. Lemon is cleansing and refreshing, Grapefruit supports a healthy metabolism and Basil is really good in states of exhaustion, overwhelm and fatigue. I also love Spearmint, it is the oil for speakers, for people who speak a lot, like I do in my coaching sessions and yoga lessons.

5️⃣ When I work at home, which I often do, I switch on my diffuser with an oil combination suitable to my needs, for example, energy, focus, calming, etc. Just go with the flow.

6️⃣ Towards the afternoon, I inhale Peppermint again and use additional oils as per my desired results.

7️⃣ In the evenings, I diffuse Lavender. I also apply Lavender onto my wrists and behind my ears before bed to aid a restful sleep.
RESULT: Calming and peaceful.

8️⃣ At last, I put one drop of Frankincense oil under my tongue to support my entire body and mind system. It is also the oil to support cell regeneration, and works well against wrinkles when applied to skin directly. RESULT: Less wrinkles, better skin.

If you now hold to an excuse of “Oh that’s time-consuming”, think again, because every step listed here literally takes about 20 seconds. BOOM‼️

How meditation improved my relationships & more.

In all friendships, in all relationships I have, (check previous posts @designyourlifeforresults to learn more) I have understood that these only exist, because there is a true, genuine and deep connection I have with the people I surround myself with.
.
This deep connection exists, because I have connected deeply with myself. Over the last 5 years and continuously every single day. One of my favourite tools? Meditation. Everyday, everywhere.
.
If you are brave enough to do so, i.e. to look deeper into who you are, what you desire and where you are heading, it makes building & maintaining connections so much easier, worthwhile, fun and loving.
.
I honestly cannot be bothered anymore to entertain superficial connections and relationships. It is my lifetime, so now I only surround myself with positive, loving and growing people that have a vision and mission to rise up to.
.
This is certainly only ONE RESULT I got out from my daily meditation practice.

Tell me, are you meditating regularly?

If you do, what is your Top 1 result? If not, what keeps you from getting started? In my opinion, there is nothing to lose, only a lot to win.

Love, yours Nina ❣️

PS: Want to get started on your meditation practice and need guidance? Looking to surround yourself with like-minded souls? I invite you to join my Facebook group ‘DIVE DEEP – Design your life for results’ with weekly activities, currently on Sundays. There was a Facebook Live this evening and I spoke in detail about my experience with meditation,  how I got started, how to set yourself up and which essential oil I use and how for my meditation. Limit the input

Does this headline sound contradicting to you for a blog that is predominantly about personal growth? Definitely read on.

Over the past 4 years, I’ve been diving deeper into myself, also referred to as personal development. I reflected not only on myself, my fears and my limitations, but also on how this showed in my relationships, with friends, family and partners.

On this journey – which is an ongoing process – I have learned a lot about myself. I was able to dissolve certain behavioural patterns that were limiting me due to underlying fears. I tuned deeper into my body to let go of tensions that have been building up and manifesting in my body for way too long. I work with coaches both personally and professionally to become the best version of myself. I completed an NLP training to improve my communication skills, to dive deeper into self-reflection and to change patterns that didn’t serve me any more with the clear objective to build a life that I really want to live.

So far so good. I believe that this ongoing journey of self-reflection and self-development is awesome. I  really wouldn’t change a thing looking back. It all served its purpose; every single change, every heartbreak, every challenge that I encountered in my life so far, were signs of the universe to correct my course; by looking deeper, by understanding and by initiating change.

More sensitivity

What I am also observing whilst being on this journey is that I’ve become way more sensitive with all my senses. I hear more, I see more, I feel more. I’d even say I smell and taste more thanks to my work with dōTERRA essential oils.

To really break this down for you, I hear people talking, the bells of the church, sirens, cars, children, water flowing, my steps on the ground, my diffuser running. I hear podcasts, audios and music. I hear myself talking. I could keep going.

I see more. My vision has expanded. I perceive more people in the tube and also what they do. I see the trees moving in the wind, children playing in the streets, people drinking coffee, I see people looking at other people, I observe couples walking hand in hand, I see the sun, the moon and the sky being in movement.

I feel more. I’ve become way more kinaesthetic, I’ve improved my awareness of the position and movement of the parts of my body. I can feel tension way quicker and I do know how to release it faster. I perceive (more) vibes from other people, their feelings, their energies, their current state of being. Again, I could keep going.

More input – more output?

My point is that this increased awareness also means that I sometimes must limit the input, as otherwise it becomes too overwhelming. At a certain point in a certain phase, more input simply doesn’t mean more output. It is essential at this point to limit the input and to focus on processing and digesting all of it. I am only human, as are you, so I figured it’s okay to limit my input.

How?

By closing my eyes just like on the pic. By spending more time by myself. I have noticed that I need more me-time and less together-time when in a phase of limiting input. This means that I would have lunch breaks on my own instead of going with others. I’m not going out a lot at the moment and unfortunately I haven’t been dancing a lot lately. Yes, it is a process of withdrawing myself, and whilst I’ve had phases where I didn’t even understand why I was doing it, I am now fully embracing my need of being alone. Depending on the current life and business set up, the people surrounding me do not always understand my behaviour and my withdrawal, which in return isn’t always easy for me to accept. Yet, I’m learning and growing through this process and I accept that this is part of my personal journey, too and that I do not have to or want to justify for that. It is what I need.

And it’s okay!

I’ve for sure learned that it is okay for me to withdraw myself, if it all gets too much. I’m understanding that my increased awareness and self-reflection led me to being a more sensitive human being called Nina. Whilst in the past I was 90% outgoing, social and extroverted, I am now in need of downtime and quiet time, too. These two facets allow me a better balance in life, more time to process and digest situations, and very importantly, more self-love. I’m freeing myself as much as possible from the opinion of others when it comes to my health and my wellbeing. No, it’s not always easy, but you gotta do what is right, not what’s easy.

Go with what you need!

When I feel the need to socialise, I will. When I feel the need to be alone, I will. When I feel the need to be active, I will. When I feel the need not to talk about certain topics, I won’t. When I feel the need to set boundaries, I will. When I feel the need to speak up, I will. And no, this is never against someone or something, it just means I follow up on what I need and follow through with it.

You can do this, too. Limit your input when you feel like it and don’t feel bad for it.

Love,

yours Nina
